You got I slot to work with. You may have 256MB or 512MB total ATM. The 256MB is non-removable. You can put in a 1GB stick or a 512MB stick.

My friend augmented the RAM on my computer to 700+
Its been better at running pictures and documents since then.

If you can you should get better RAM for the computer. It makes some of your computer work easier.
