Does anyone know of some that are actually good?

Some of them are so bland you are embarrassed by it. Others have poor service or terrible website uploading.

The website isn't for me, its for a school club and I'm looking for a place where it's free and we can adjust how the website looks. Templates are okay but I wanted something with a little more freedom.

I think Tripod is okay but Angelfire has gotten heat for MP3 and other bad tracks of the internet world.

I have no idea. I think most of anything free on the internet is crappy or illegal. Sorry.

Haha, In class lately theyve been teaching us how to make HTML with notepad.

freewebs, but the templates are awful!
you can try frontpage but it's complicated to get it published there.

^ They changed the templates. Some look decent. smile.gif

It says you either need a link back to freewebs or the freewebs bar. sad.gif

^ That sucks, but remember it's free hosting.

At least its not google ads or something.

I went with freewebs, but the school hosted our site several months later. Knowing the bureaucrats it will be deleted the minute our class graduates.

Anyone know how to save a website?

SigmaZX- 02-25-2005
If you have the access, use FTP, if not then you'd have to go through each and every page and save them.

You'd have to ask a school official about the FTP access or saving it.

Saving, you just go to the page, (Using Internet Explorer, I dunno bout Netscape or others.) go to file choose save as, then make sure the file type is: Web Page, Complete. Then whereever you saved it there should be a web page and a folder of files that that page uses.

If you already have/had the Templates and such, I could set you up with some webspace on my server. God knows I don't have much better for it.

Just save the whole page, or click "view source" so you can get the HTML. Then put it in Frontpage or a text file and save it.

You'll always have a copy of it.
