I hate most freeware since Gain is usually paired with it.
Most times it aint worth it.

Some freewares are okay, but sometimes they don't tell you what you would get in the license agreement. Spyware, adware, 3rd parties software are sometimes installed without your permission and knowledge.

freeware is good for small group of programers to get their name out in the world, just make sure you are reading the licening agreement.

Hey we've advertised some freeware on the dungeon
and it's good. Some freeware aint all that bad since there are programs that counter what people hate in other freeware programs.

Ok, time to keep it real. Freeware makes up everything great. The thing that makes it bad is some stupid people decide to put spam in it. But dont think about those when you think of freeware. Think of things like Linux. Its source code is freeware and ANYONE that is a programer can fix and make better the OS. Instead of waiting for Microsoft to get a patch to fix a virus loophole THAT THEY PUT IN SO THEY CAN KEEP US IN CHECK, we have to wait long periods and go through their lisense checking and crap. For Linux, if your a programer, YOU CAN FIX THE DAMN THING YOURSELF AND POST THE FIX AND PEOPLE WILL BE HAPPY. I know your gona say "Linux costs money ive seen it!", but thats the distributions that cost money modified for specific use by other companys. Red Hat for instance is good for professional users or SuSie for the newbies to Linux.

What I hate is now Microsoft is trying to regulate EVERYTHING and its really pissing me off. For instance, in sound and video products. EVERYTHING HAS TO BE WHQL'd!! THEY THINK THEY NEED "APPROVE" DRIVERS FROM COMPANYS THAT *BEEN DOING WHAT THEY WERE DOING FOR 20 YEARS*. And for some people who dont go through usual methods to get their OS (*cough*), they plan to make a detection system that when you go to windows update, it will make it manditory that they scan your computer to see if your stuff is legit. THATS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!!

So please, dont hate on freeware cus of some minor spamer stupidity.... Hate companys like Microsoft they are trying to own everything....
