| Sorry to say this, but the "Internet 2" sounds like a buncha' stupid $@#%. Not saying that you guys are lying; just saying that it's dumb to make a second. Internet is Internet. And if it's truly something different from the Internet, then call it something else. If what Gerogero says is true, then you already need high speed internet for it to work, as well as a bigger LAN card according to Vexy. If that's true, then what does "Internet 2" even really offer? You're already paying for high speed internet. So what the hell does it offer? someone PLEASE enlighten me. Also, if they monitor what you do on the "Internet 2", then it still shouldn't be worth your time. That's how spyware is created, as well as invasion of privacy. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but if it only offers "high speed" and you already need "high speed" unless you're at a university, then why use it? Does it do ANYTHING else besides what the Internet can do? |

| One question to all of you. Why should it be called 2? Usually ANYTHING 2 is never called that. They had Coke 2, but no one really cares since its not that different from coke 1! They have Playstation 2, but when you look at it its barely anything different from Playstation 1! Look, the point is, that this Internet 2 might end up being the way internet is used by the public. But really, there won't be anything different about the internet itself. Its all the same product. No matter what "2" you are talking about! |

Suck me into what? I didn't go to the university for Internet 2 brainiac. Anyone going to school for better internet or testbed internet should be kicked repeatedly. Not only that, have you been to all of the universities providing Internet 2? Some of them might actually have the better form of internet. And yes Universities do test out better methods and forms of internet (*gasp* I don't know, I just think there is some merit in what some of us were talking about. If we keep this argument up we might try to flame each other. |
